Ken Beattie

Upon leaving University Ken joined Xerox where he was a new business and major account salesman He then joined Hewlett Packard where he became a leading new business salesman.  Indeed, he was ranked number one in the UK.  Ken was a founding and the Managing Director of Initiative Software Ltd (now Inisoft), which became the leading supplier of CRM software to government agencies in the UK.  He also founded and was CEO of their highly successful US subsidiary Syntelate Corporation.  He lived in the US for a period of three years.  Ken is a Non Executive Director of a number of Scottish technology companies.  He has an MA (Hons) from Glasgow University and an Msc from Strathclyde University

 

Benny Placido

Benny was a leading channel account manager with Hewlett Packard.  Benny then joined Digital Corporation, where he rose to become the European Channel Marketing Manager, based in Geneva.  Upon leaving Digital, Benny joined 3Com as European Channel Marketing Manager, and then he returned to Scotland and joined Peopledoc as European Sales Director.  Finally Benny was CEO of Pilgrim Systems, a leading provider of software solutions to the legal market.  Benny holds a BSc from Edinburgh University.

 

Trevor Geraghty

Trevor holds a BA degree in International Management with French and German awarded by Brunel University and he has worked internationally with some of the world's leading players in the communications space. Career highlights include being recognised as a leading sales person with Energis (Now Cable and Wireless).

As National Sales Manager of APAX backed Teleficiency, Trevor lead the recruitment of 20 field sales people which enjoyed the delivery of some £7.5m of annualised revenues in an 18 month period. He has extensive senior recruitment experience and delivered campaigns for Vodaphone worldwide, Cisco, Thus, Epson, Alcatel, MCI and Reuters

 

John Caldwell

After starting as an Analyst/Programmer with Ciba-Geigy, John was responsible for setting up and managing local IT support for Levi Strauss’ North European manufacturing operation, then opening the Scottish sales and consultancy operation for Cognos. With Ken Beattie he co-founded Initiative Software Ltd as R&D Director. John is now a business design and systems consultant involved with a number of Scottish businesses in the production and execution of business plans and financing packages. John has a BSc from Glasgow University and a BA (Hons) from the Open University, where he was also a part-time Tutor-Counsellor for 3 years. 

Stuart Harris

Stuart spent the first 12 years of his career in the hospitality industry in numerous roles, including that of frontline staff as well as sales & managerial roles. In 1993, Stuart joined Coca Cola and over the next 7 years progressed through a number of Sales, Management and Training roles. He enjoyed his training roles so much that he decided to pursue a career in Training & Development. In 2000, Stuart moved onto Atlantic Telecom as the Regional Sales Trainer for Scotland, A year later he joined TeleTech (a multi-national group of Outsourced Contact Centres) as the UK Sales & Customer Service Trainer

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, an Accredited Belbin Assessor (certified by Meredith Belbin himself), a qualified NLP Practioner, Key Note Speaker and board member of the eLearning Alliance.
